Perry White joins the comic book cast in this episode’s coverage of Superman 7 which is full of Joe Shuster goodness!  First, Superman has to save an innocent man from being framed for murder by three kingpins of crime.  Then it’s off to Gay City for Clark to find out why men are exploding at the slightest touch, but Perry tells Lois to stay behind because Gay City is too dangerous for a woman.  And after cleaning up some local politics, Clark takes Lois out to dinner but they’re kidnapped and held for execution by the “Black Gang”.  Come give a listen!

New 52 04 Supergirl Superman 2

Rounding up the second month of Superman comics in The New 52:

Supergirl 2 — “Reunion” — Kara’s shocked to see her little baby cousin all growed up, so she punches him.  A lot.  And we ask the pointed questions, like what exactly is that guy holding in the last panel?

Superman 2 — “Flying Blind” — Superman is attacked by a monster he can’t see.  Will we ever see Superman smile again?

Plus discussion of Justice League 2 and Teen Titans 2, though the TT talk is about as brief as Superboy’s one-page involvement in the book.

New 52 03 Action Comics Superboy 2

Welcome back for the third episode of The New 52 Adventures of Superman, where Jon, Mike, and Dave crack into the second month of Superman’s latest incarnation:

Action Comics 2 — “Superman in Chains” — Superman has been captured by Lex Luthor and must escape.  We learn a lot about his physiology and just how evil a man this new Luthor is.

Superboy 2 — “Superboys and Their Toys” — Superboy is sent on his first training mission before being sent after the Teen Titans.  The question arises concerning just where this series is headed, cuz it’s not what we expected coming out of the first issue.
