This book has more scary/creepy people than I’d originally thought: Dracula, of course; Renfield, too; but now, I think I need to add Dr. Seward, for even considering “letting the experiment continue”.
Yes, but then also I wonder how much it was a cultural norm of the day, mental health treatment being the utter garbage dump it was for so much of human history.
