I know that part of the appeal of Spider-Man is that he has to deal with the troubles of everyday life while trying to be a hero. Worrying about Aunt May, getting bullied by Flash Thompson, working with Jameson, who is cranky as a general state and who also hates Spider-Man, worrying about earning money, etc. What I like best, though, is that even with his troubles, Peter Parker also has some good things in life, like defeating the bad guys, standing up to Flash, developing a relationship with Betty, etc., and sometimes, he even recognizes the good things.
