Even as a kid, I often thought that many Lois Lane stories had a kind of “I Love Lucy” vibe, where Lois (or, in this case, Supergirl) would come up with some utterly hare-brained scheme that would, in the end, fall apart, and be shown the error of her ways by a man. It seemed to be a story pattern, and became a pretty worn cliche in time.
